The Challenge

With a new site and building in the pipeline, it was decided that SCC’s 25 year old logo was well overdue for a redesign.

As new signage etc was needed it made sense to update the college branding before the new building took shape. An added complication was that the college had a number of facilities open to the public (hair salons, nurseries etc) these have traditionally not shared the college’s identity. Our brief was to create a new identity flexible enough to provide separate elements for each facility while also encompassing them as part of the whole.


The Solution

We achieved this by using the architecture of the new building. The logo represents the S and C's of South Cheshire College while also highlighting the architectural shape of the new building. Elements of the logo were then used to create logos for the college's sub brands.


The Results

The new identity gives a real sense of dynamic opportunity and goes a long way help position the college as a first choice campus.
